A Note on This Beer

Ever tried a North German Pilsner? They’re quite tasty, and very different from the more common German and Bavarian Pilsners we typically find in the U.S.

The water in northern Germany is pretty hard, which amplifies a Pilsner’s hop bitterness. These beers shine with a crisp and zesty, citrus kick!

The water in southern Germany is much softer, which suppresses the hop bitterness. Many of the South German Pilsners are mellower and less bright than the northern ones.

Today’s Freischütz North German Pils sounds as authentic as its grassy, lemon-grapefruit hop notes taste!

Beer nerd @Tim E. says, “This one speaks to my German ancestry.”

If a crisp, quenching Pils packed with a hop-zing speaks to you, I’d suggest less listening and doing more ‘Get It’ button-smashing before it disappears!

*Look closely at your can’s label and you’ll find a cool sticker you can peel off and stick wherever you need a pop of color!

Daily corona battle. Playing in the rain edition. Hop forward Pilsner with a lemony, grassy and dry finish. Clean Pilsner, but Pilsnery for sure. Classically german.

I'm going to admit that I did not drink this beer as fresh as I should have. Thus I'm giving a score way higher than what I drank deserved. I actually dumped it. It had a skunk and slight vegatal aroma and I was worried from the get go. The flavor was grassy, herbal hops, but not in the good way. A strange bitter/astringent mouthfeel and nearly no body. Overall it was unpleasant.
