Alpha Acid and their pals at Brix Factory teamed up to craft this complex Barrel Aged Cherry Barleywine.
They began by introducing Montgomery cherry juice concentrate into the primary fermentation of the Barleywine base. By adding the tart nectar gradually, they were able to control the rate that sugars converted to alcohol, achieving a massive 18% ABV with a balanced fruity character.
Next, they matured the brew in cherry brandy barrels and Russell’s Reserve bourbon barrels for 18 months before blending.

Swirl your glass and chocolate-covered cherry aromas rise up to greet you. Take a taste and decadent stone fruit tones mingle with plenty of raisin, fig, and molasses. Oaky vanilla nuances add a toffee-tinged smoothness that lingers into the finish.
