A Note on This Beer

Hidden Temple is one of the most popular beers in Falling Knife Brewing’s history.

So, when they announced they were offering it in cans and outside the taproom for the very first time, craft fans all around the country perked up! Thank goodness we snagged a small stash — this might be the only place outside the Twin Cities you can find this hidden gem!

At first sip, it’s obvious why this Hazy’s a favorite for Minneapolis brew hounds. It absolutely bursts with juice from two hop stars: Azacca and El Dorado!

Azacca adds a ripe pineapple, zesty citrus, and bright mango flavor that lingers through each swig. El Dorado completes the juicy throwdown with notes of juicy pear, watermelon, and even more mixed tropical fruit flair.

The lush, sweet hoppy tang in every sip has hazeheads like @Jon P. calling Hidden Temple absolutely “fantastic!” And @Wes. M. only has eyes for this brew: “I’ve bought like 5 four packs of this - so good!”

The body is clean, light, and shines with a golden hue and slight pithiness that, when paired with a frosty glass, makes it a total crusher. Now that it’s in cans, you can enjoy it on top of your favorite peak, at a backyard barbecue — anywhere that could be enhanced with a little hopjuice.

Grab a couple pints to pack your cooler, and get ready to rumble with the tropical taste of Hidden Temple, one the Saintly City’s favorite IPAs!

Falling Knife was named Best New Brewery of 2020 by City Pages!

*Look closely at your can’s label, and you’ll find a cool sticker you can peel off and stick wherever you need a pop of color!

No pitfalls to this brew. The bite from the hops are kept in control, no need to leap on a crocodiles head to avoid them. The higher ABV might log roll you over if you're not careful though.

Not too shabby . But more of a hoppy hazy . Than a smooth creamy hazy

Good but not great NEIPA. Pineapple, pear and mango on the tongue. Light bitter finish. Decent mouthfeel. Solid all around.

Wow! I’m not a huge IPA fan but the Azzaca hops lend a fruity pineapple and mango flavor to create a real treat here. I definitely going to enjoy the second can! Also, thanks for the bonus sticker!!! Reviewed live on twitch.tv/brewedforgaming

Nice hazy IPA, hoppy with Azacca and el dorado hops. Flavors of pineapple and grapefruit expose themselves after few degrees past fridge temp. Solid 4.0/5.0

A good, standard tasting IPA. Lighter than I thought it would be, but good. Also. Started to get more pineapple as it got warmer.

Nothing special but still very good. It’s light and crisp. Loved Pitfall by the way! Great can!

I guess I’m not a fan of Falling Knife Brewing . They aren’t the worst I just heard about their beer, I had high expectations. Try them before u judge them from my rating .

Absolutely love this beer. Goes down easy and doesn’t sit heavy. The Azacca and El Dorado hops feel lite on the back of the tongue. Delicious, and easy to drink multiples. +1 for dope can design!

Aroma is natural pineapple and soft earth. Weak flavors of pineapple, mango, maybe citrus peel. Mouthfeel is on the thin side. Very average for me because I do live in New England.

The smell is overwhelmingly fruity and tropical. The smell alone makes your mouth water. The flavor is a bit wanting, though. It’s a bit flat and resinous right upfront with some lingering mango sweetness on the end. It’s not a terrible beer, but I wouldn’t rank it above an average IPA.
