The craft artisans at Block 15 brewed Hypnosis (2020) with specialty English malt, then let it mature for an entire year in French cognac barrels until it took on sublime brandy and oak nuances.

the cognac character mutes some of the dry fruit sweetness and mouthfeel on this one causing a drying effect on the palate that doesn’t quite agree with me. love the idea but seems a bit off
