With wanton abandon, these award-winning* confectioners stuffed I Hated Listermann Before It Was Cool with rich chocolate, creamy vanilla, and real devil’s food cake.

It pours as dark and inviting as Hershey’s syrup, and smells like fudge brownies baking in the oven. As you sip it, waves of vanilla balance the decadent, dark chocolate notes, and a hint of toffee rises up on the finish.

sweet, but not too sweet. vanilla notes, chocolate and caramel, with a hint of smoke that doesn't overpower it all.

for having so much alcohol content, this beer was made awesomely. that after taste is so delicious, and the more you drink it the more it tastes like straight chocolate - and those vanilla notes are perfect

solid chocolate taste. I found it a little dry but had a solid flavor profile. can definitely taste the devils food cake

Little bit disappointed in this one. Roasty stout with only the faintest hints of chocolate and vanilla. Not really picking up the cake. Better than the “I liked Listerman version”.

For a high ABV beer it surprisingly wasn’t bitter. You can definitely taste the chocolate and when ice cold it tastes exactly like a chocolate devils cake with just the perfect amount of frosting sweetness.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this beer. I did order this and the partner one, I Liked Listerman…, and I must say I enjoyed this one much more due to the chocolatey flavors that were present. I am praying this comes back on Tavour so I can order it again.
