About This Beer
The FOBAB-winning Michigan craft masters matured a cocoa-y Imperial Stout for 28 months in Balcones Lineage whiskey barrels, then finished it with melter honey. This honey has more caramelized flavors than its delicate, uncooked counterpart as a result of melting down the combs for beeswax.
Tasting Notes
The earthy, floral sweetener boosts the brew’s toffee nuances, along with notes of oak and single-malt. Combined with the roasty tones in the base, it all comes together like a taste of chocolate-pecan pie before fading into a delightfully decadent finish.
