A Note on This Beer
First, Stillwater Artisanal Ales made some of the highest rated Goses with their Gose Gone Wild series. Then they took it on a world tour - brewing versions with ingredients from far flung destinations. Now they bring it to Oaxaca, Mexico for the Mezcal-inspired, agave, lime and salt infused Levadura Gose.
Oaxaca is the homeland of Mezcal, the overarching category of liquors distilled from agave that includes Tequila. Just like taking a shot of Mezcal, Levadura intensifies the unique, aloelike honey nectar of the agave with a splash of zesty lime and tart, slightly salty backing of the Gose.
A bright yellow pour lets off hints of a green glaze. The perfume of green grape skins mingles with citrus above the brim. Drinking brings the astounding fresh and dry bite of a minerally white wine, assuaged by a pillow of wild-harvested honey. Citric sour limeade slides into a long lemony draw.
Birthplace of the Mole, Oaxaca is hotspot for the finest deeply-layered flavors in Mexican cuisine. Much like Mezcal, Levadura is built to take these flavors even higher! When cracking into this brew we recommend getting your hands the best Mexican food you can find and you’ll be in for a world-class satisfying adventure.
