It all started when Junkyard’s brewers took to the green for a round of golf. With a stroke like Happy Gilmore, one of them hauled off, whacked the ball — and hit it smack-dab into a tree. The ball bounced and plopped into the center of the fairway in a lucky accident known as a “member’s bounce.” Several beers later, the idea for today’s Imperial IPA was born! Those marvelous Minnesotans dry-hopped Member’s Bounce with Citra, El Dorado, and ultra-resinous Denali Hops.
