River North’s Mr. Sandman is one of the craft world’s most beloved dark beers. Heck, when Paste Mag conducted a blind tasting of 102 different Imperial Stouts, it earned first place!
And this XO version is even smoother and more complex than the original, thanks to a 20 month long stint in Colorado whiskey and bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes
Each decadent sip floods the palate with notes of caramel-drizzled dates and ripples of baker’s chocolate. A kiss of bourbon and oaky vanilla lingers after a velvety finish, barely leaving a trace of the 14.2% ABV.

Mr Sandman is a chunky brew and this twist on it only bulked it up even more. River North can’t be stopped.
