About This Beer

To make this luxurious IIPA, the brewers started with a base that’s 50% oats for a rich and thick mouthfeel. Then they added a whopping 7 lbs per barrel of New Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin Hops from Freestyle Farms!

Once an IPA hits the 8.0 mark I’m incredibly critical. 8.0 seems to be the abv too many people “chase” and as a result I feel like the market is flooded with a lot of bad 8.0+ IPAS. I saw this at 8.5 and was hesitant but say the Oat and Nelson and gave it a whirl. I wish I had ordered a 4-pack. It’s not “seasonable” by any means but for an 8.5 this beer is incredibly approachable. Well done Mountains Walking Brewery. Well done.

Tang. Not orange powder Tang, but tangy tang. Very interesting floral W.Grape - and something else - could be apricot but it makes it’s presence known. Creamy and heady, also boozy.
