A Note on This Beer
You know that movie where the man flies away in his house with balloons? According to the internet, you could actually “Up” your own home if you strategically attached some 23.5 million balloons.
A much more satiating (and safer) experience is sipping today’s Oat Float NE-style IPA. The GABF Gold Medalists at Barebottle Brewing describe sips of this pillowy quencher as “Hop air balloons filled with Mosaic, Citra and Amarillo.”
And that’s just the tippy top of the float. The brewers did three sessions of hopping for extra juice and resinous pine flavors, adding Eureka Hops in on the final round. Hefty doses of oats make for ultimate floaty-fluffiness!
Every splash of this plush, hoppy fruit punch sends the taste buds soaring away through clouds of orange and grapefruit citrus, pineapple, and nectarine!
A big burst of piney goodness comes through on the finish, while the gently buzzing 7.6% ABV lifts both body and spirit long after the can is empty.
And, even if you're not as skyward-inclined as that old man was, don't worry. Your home will remain safely grounded even with your fridge packed full of Oat Float. You will, however, be able to crack open that fluffy hop juice and sip your way up to cloud 9 any time you like!
The beer experts at 7x7 call California’s Barebottle “a go-to brewery for Hazy IPAs.”
