A Note on This Beer
The experts at Cellador used painstaking methods to extract the highest quality flavors from both sides of this collaboration.
I’m not talking about two breweries working together. I’m talking about the brew — this is a 50/50 wine and beer hybrid!
The brewers started by crushing grapes in house and fermenting them with native yeasts for about 10 days. Then, they separated the grape juices from the pomace and delicately poured it into a base of Cellador’s Admiral Malt Saison, allowing the beer and wine components to swirl together and create something entirely new.
The brewers methodically matured the blend in french oak puncheons, before bottle conditioning it on honey! The honey shines up front in a lovely light sweetness right as you start each delicious quaff. A crisp and thirst quenching acidity settles the sweet, transforming into a funky, yet refreshingly fruity finish.
Dinner parties and curated tastings buzz with the delicious results of Cellador’s fine craft:
“Woah. One of the best wild ales I've ever had! Funky, fruity, and just the tiniest bit sweet from the bottle conditioning with honey. This is my favorite beer from Cellador!” @Sara R.
“Oh my. Honey jumps out right away. Crisp, light acidic drinkability. Vinous & dry, but balanced with plenty of oak barrel character on the finish.”@ShaneoMac
