About This Beer
For a long, long time, you couldn’t get your hands on a mangosteen in the U.S. These fruits were so elusive, you had to fly all the way to Thailand just to get a taste of the tart, pleasantly acidic tropical juices.
But now, that 16+ hour flight is a thing of the past – what’s more, the Oregon brew crew loaded it in a pleasantly hopped beer, for our enjoyment! While we’re willing to bet you’ve never tried a mangosteen, the flavors are familiarly refreshing and delightful.
Tasting Notes
Each sip starts with a hint of guava tartness, followed by smooth, sweet flavors of papaya and cantaloupe juice. On the finish, a brisk, sharp note comes through, like a prickly pear. No, seriously I mean it. I’m sipping some as I write this and I was NOT expecting that! The crisp, light finish is oh-so-satisfying.
