A Note on This Beer
If today’s IPA could talk like Muhammed Ali, it would say it ‘floats like a butterfly, and chills with an 8.5% ABV.’
And, if you were lucky enough to snag a can back in April, you’d probably agree. You all snatched up the last batch of Papillon in half a day, leaving nothing behind but an impressive 4.27 Tavour rating.
Good news! The crew at Moonraker finally made another batch, so you have one more chance to enjoy its nectarous embrace like the boozy butterfly you are!
That’s what Papillon means, by the way — it’s French for butterfly. And, that’s what you’ll feel like when you sip it. Like you’ve fluttered down from the heavens to alight on a fragrant flower, but instead of pollen and nectar, it’s full of delicious beer.
Go ahead: lap up those delightful flavors of ruby red grapefruit and dank, ripe mango from a field’s worth of Strata, Citra, and Simcoe Hops.
Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the juicy, citrus-flavored flowers. And then, drink them. Nectar never tasted so good.
