A Note on This Beer

I don’t remember when or where exactly I tried my first Peach Sour Ale, but I’ll never forget the feeling that came over me.

Flavors of drippy, fuzzy peach washed across my palate, backed with an exquisite tanginess that darted between citrus and funk. With every soft-tart sip, my senses floated off into stone fruit beer bliss.

Alas, it’s an experience I’ve rarely been able to revisit, and only in peachy brews crafted with a lot of precision in the hands of true experts. Like today’s Peaches Aplenty from Barebottle!

I have to say, this Peach Sour delivers on the stone fruity delight with its whopping 7 lbs of peach puree per barrel. And, it brings the complexity to new levels through conditioning with silky vanilla beans and bourbon-soaked oak chips.

It tastes like a tart peaches ‘n cream sorbet spiked with woody bourbon!

Something tells me I’m going to remember this peachy brew experience for a long time. To all my fellow Sour lovers, I highly recommended grabbing this can of stone fruit bliss while you can.

*The brewers pack this beer to the brim with fruit, so they recommend storing it in the fridge as soon as it shows up at your door, up until you crack open the can!

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Too sweet, the peach needs more punch. And the floral just doesn’t do it any good

Not good. Weak beer. Very little peach and lots of coors light flavor. Will not be ordering again.

Not quite the sour I was looking for. The peach and vanilla do not complement each other like I had hoped.

Very little peach taste. Should maybe change the name to 'Some Peaches'. Not my favorite, to be honest.

Ordered from Tavour. Chilled for a couple weeks in the fridge and poured into an imperial glass glass. Look: pink yellow with a two finger size creamy white head that dissipated quickly and left a small milky white lacing on the glass. Smell: smells like peach pie or peach cobbler. And peaches. More peaches. Taste: The taste does not follow the smell. Sour ale-like funk with peach notes mid palate that dissipate into sour peach that really makes you pucker. Beer after notes and no booze or bitterness. Feel: mid to light feel with heavy carbonation. Overall this beer is a meh sour funky ale, light peachy beer that is OK if you want a pucker. Not much to hang onto if you want the fruit as it described. Cheers everyone!

I love peaches. This is base and bland, not peachy. Would be good paired with a fish fry and malt vinegar heavy French fries. Or just dumped in my sink...

Meh. Not much peach flavor. Not really much flavor at all. Lots of carbonation, not that much else.
