A Note on This Beer
I don’t remember when or where exactly I tried my first Peach Sour Ale, but I’ll never forget the feeling that came over me.
Flavors of drippy, fuzzy peach washed across my palate, backed with an exquisite tanginess that darted between citrus and funk. With every soft-tart sip, my senses floated off into stone fruit beer bliss.
Alas, it’s an experience I’ve rarely been able to revisit, and only in peachy brews crafted with a lot of precision in the hands of true experts. Like today’s Peaches Aplenty from Barebottle!
I have to say, this Peach Sour delivers on the stone fruity delight with its whopping 7 lbs of peach puree per barrel. And, it brings the complexity to new levels through conditioning with silky vanilla beans and bourbon-soaked oak chips.
It tastes like a tart peaches ‘n cream sorbet spiked with woody bourbon!
Something tells me I’m going to remember this peachy brew experience for a long time. To all my fellow Sour lovers, I highly recommended grabbing this can of stone fruit bliss while you can.
*The brewers pack this beer to the brim with fruit, so they recommend storing it in the fridge as soon as it shows up at your door, up until you crack open the can!
