A Note on This Beer
If you don’t know about Bark Lord Day…it’s high time you heard!
It’s on May 22nd, and it’s Transient Artisan Ale's biggest barrel-aged release day of the year. But up until now, unless you could make it to their Michigan taproom, you’d be SOL — Stout out of luck.
That all changes today. For the first time ever, Transient’s sharing Bark Lord Day releases with us, so lucky dark beer fans across the country can finally indulge too. Seriously — snag some of our small stash and you’ll be one of the only craft fans in the world sipping on today’s 4.40 UT-Rated Prince of Barkness (2021) Imperial Stout!
Trust us, this one deserves its own holiday. To start, the brewers swirled vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, and Michigan maple syrup into their decadent Imperial Stout base. Then they aged the beer for a total of 18 months in a blend of whiskey, bourbon, and maple syrup barrels for layers of opulent complexity!
It tastes just like a pile of whiskey-kissed cinnamon roll pancakes, and it’s seriously not one to sleep on. Miss it now and you might actually HAVE to go to the taproom to get a taste of next year’s version. If that’s a gamble you’re willing to take…godspeed, craft fan. The rest of us will be over here, savoring one luxurious brunch brew.
