A Note on This Beer
Nestled on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains lies the little-big city of Spokane, WA, and the unsuspecting, little brewery that could.
YaYa Brewing Company is run by two brothers with an unbridled passion for the craft. They just arrived on the beer scene in September 2019 — making them one of the youngest breweries on Tavour!
And, as soon as we got a taste of their fabulous brews, we knew YaYa was going to be one to watch!
So, we watched and waited for our chance to nab a stash of Riverbend. This smooth and robust vanilla-coffee Porter is a delicious ride down a chocolate river, laced with waves of caramel and pecans.
To make it, the brewers use chocolate, caramel, and flaked barley, then condition it on vanilla and rich Sumatran coffee. Each sumptuous sip is like a fresh cup of cold-brew with a dollop of vanilla cream and just a drizzle of caramel.
Lucky fans like @Mark S. who’ve tasted it are calling it “A nearly perfect Porter! Not too thin or too heavy. The chocolate malts and vanilla balance the coffee so that nothing is too strong! Great!”
In fact, you may want to crack open a can and pour it into a mug on a Saturday morning!
Leave your Starbucks card at home and snag a cup of this YaYa java! Hey — we all know that beer is REALLY the best part of waking up.
*YaYa Co-owner Jason cut his teeth at Maine’s Austin Street Brewing, and both owners were mentored by their friends at Foundation, Battery Steele, and Bissel Brothers!
