A Note on This Beer
From a medical standpoint, it’s pretty clear that the best way to prevent scurvy is a diet that includes Vitamin C-rich foods.
From a craft beer standpoint, however, I’m convinced that a couple cans of Scurvy Fighter is a much tastier way to get the job done!
I can’t speak much on its Vitamin C content, but this award-winning Pale Ale is packed with so much clean, citrus fruit flavor, San Francisco craft fans like @Victor G. on Untappd all agree it’s “hard to believe oranges weren't added to this!”
Believe it or not, it is true — not a single orange was used for Scurvy Fighter. The brewers at Barebottle use nothing but Citra Hops to get this bright brew bursting with the juiciness of a whole sack of tangerines.
Which means, if you’re a craft fan who’s always on the hunt for citrusy crushers, this orangey juicebomb is just what the doctor ordered.
But, you’ll want to pick up your stash now, while you can. Outside of California, it’s dang near impossible to find Barebottle beers like Scurvy Fighter!
Scurvy Fighter won the Bronze Medal at the 2017 California State Fair Commercial Beer Competition; listed by Ranker.com as the #5 Best Beer From San Francisco
