A Note on This Beer
Every time UT’s 26th highest-rated brewery drops a release, it’s a reminder to beer geeks why The Ale Apothecary is a must-try. They are on a completely different wavelength.
Who else is brewing Wild Ales out of old, foraged tree trunks? No other breweries that we know of.
Who else is crafting a Wild Ale like today’s Seahorse, infused with cocoa nibs and then aged in maple syrup AND wine barrels? We’re pretty sure this is a first.
Seahorse is part of The Ale Apothecary’s one-off release series called Uncle Knubby. This means the batch size is microscopic and even after it’s gone, they’ll never brew it again.
So, this isn’t just your one shot at tasting this crazy creation comprised of Chocolate, Crystal, and Spelt Malts with a dash of artisan Jacobsen Sea Salt. And it’s a fleeting opportunity to taste their bottle-conditioning expertise; infused with melted artisan chocolate, it tastes like a Wild take on a maple-kissed milkshake.
It’s your only chance at tasting anything like it. Maybe your only chance ever.
You can label us hyperbolic, or call us “Ale Apothecary groupies.” Call us what you will, but just don’t try calling us for a bottle once it’s sold out. Because this beer is fantastic, and once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
