A few weeks back, I received a mysterious card from the GABF Award-winning brewers at San Francisco's Barebottle inviting me to a secret party in the basement of their taproom. The card listed two instructions:

1. Tell no one where you are going.
2. Use the password Ekuanot to enter.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into, until I strolled right into an exclusive launch party for the newest IPA in Barebottle’s coveted Secret series: today’s Secret City NE-Style IPA!

But no worries if you didn’t get a formal invitation — now’s your rare chance to taste what fans on Untappd are calling “the best Barebottle Hazy yet!”

Brewed with a powerhouse medley of Lemondrop, Ekuanot, Mosaic, and Simcoe Hops, Secret City bursts with succulent layers of tropical fruit, making this juicy secret definitely worth spilling. The last IPA we had in this series earned a huge 4.43 rating from the Tavour community!

With a score that high and flavors this juicy, this Hazy definitely won’t be a secret much longer. But just between you and me, I smuggled a few cases back over the Golden Gate Bridge to share.

Enticing aromas of fresh-squeezed oranges and lemon zest swell from the cloudy pour. Nectarous pineapple, ripe mango, and bitter starfruit explode on the palate in a parade of juiciness. A hint of lactose gives this Hazy a soft-as-a-cloud mouthfeel, making the 6.3% ABV wash down oh-so smooth.
