A Note on This Beer
For all of you who choose silky Mounds Bars over nutty Almond Joys, Sometimes You Don’t is a dream come true!
The confectionary geniuses at White Elm crafted this silky Milk Stout to taste as indulgent as a chocolate milkshake swirled with real chunks of Mounds. They harnessed all the candied decadence of this sweet treat by shoveling cacao nibs, coconut, and milk chocolate into every barrel!
It pours nearly as thick as chocolate syrup, but with a pleasant edge of roastiness to soften the sweetness. With every sip, more dark chocolate richness flows across the palate before giving way to notes of creamy, candied coconut shavings.
This is a dessert beer worthy of a spot in any candy-loving craft fan’s fridge. Especially those who enjoy the chocolatier things in life.
But, only the quickest Mounds hounds will be able to get their hands on a can of Sometimes You Don’t — this brew rarely leaves Nebraska outside of Tavour! So, unless you’re fixing for a road trip to Lincoln, Nebraska, this may be your only chance to try this melty indulgence!
White Elm has been featured by The Beer Connoisseur and The Beer Travel Guide as one of the Best Breweries in Nebraska!
*HEADS UP from the brewers — always chill before opening to avoid any sticky spillovers! All White Elm cans are intentionally filled to the brim and highly carbonated for your enjoyment.
