About This Beer
The Festival of Barrel Aged Beers medalists at Transient took a rich, chocolatey base and aged it for 18 months in Journeyman Estate rye whiskey puncheons which previously held sherry. Then they finished it on freshly split and scraped Comoros vanilla beans, giving it a luxuriously creamy sip.
Tasting Notes
Each sweet mouthful of this velvety Imperial Stout is like a cascade of oaky caramel coated in milk chocolate. Peppery rye nuances and a hint of vinous tannins accent the cocoa and cream, making for an alluring nightcap.
While its silky layers might keep you alert, the 14.5% ABV is sure to help you wind down.

taste is reminiscent of the Goos Island Cola Stout as there’s notes of sugary sweet Cola and vanilla - smooth and had a good head on the pour. I dig this one.

can't figure out what is wrong with it but it's meh. vanilla is artificial. don't buy transient again
