I binge-watched all 7 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer over the weekend. It’s almost spooky season, baby!

Well, kind of. Still — burritoed in a blanket, a candle burning, sipping on my long-awaited stash of Sweets - Blood Orange Coconut… it sure felt like a cozy mid-October evening!

The fruit-focused brewers at Mountains Walking packed this dessert-y Berliner Weisse with heaps of nectarous blood orange puree. As a result, each satiny sip boasts a delectable balance of raspberry-like sweetness and citrusy tang. 

All that juiciness flows atop swells of toasted coconut and real fruit tart crust from the brewer’s friends at Wild Crumb Bakery. Additions of Ugandan vanilla beans and lactose make for a mouthfeel so smooth n’ silky, I feel like Daracula at a blood bank — I couldn’t stop sippin’ this brew if I tried! 

So, be warned: sink your beer-lovin’ fangs into this blood orange Berliner, and you might have a hard time pulling away. Just like the insatiable vampires Buffy hunts down!
