About This Beer
The Cellars #12 began with two distinct brews built on 100% Maine-grown grain:
- The springtime sipper Wildlife Report, a Farmhouse-style Bière de Garde hopped with Nugget, Aramis, and Santiam
- And Snow Report, a wintery Golden Saison with Hallertau and Saaz Hops and a kiss of local wildflower honey
Finally, Allagash aged the melange on Australian orange Muscat grape must, infusing it with vinous nuances of citrus and tropical fruit.
Tasting Notes
Expect each pour to invite you in with crisp white wine and pineapple aromas. The effervescent sip should follow, accented by bright touches of honeysuckle, lemon, and orange zest. And as with all their Sours, you can look forward to an impeccable balance that gives it what early tasters are calling “a stupid level of drinkability — holy flying fish!”
