Today’s Tiki Fruit offers tasty insight into why Superstition Meadery is one of the Top 15 Meaderies in the World on Untappd.

To start, the famed Prescott, AZ meadery added hops to this breezy, sessionable, 6.9% ABV creation. Session Meads are a relatively new venture in the world of fermented honey, and we very rarely spot hops in Meads at all. But here, the Superstition team uses hops to punctuate the honeyed sipper with floral and citrus notes.

The hops weren’t the only additions.

Tiki Fruit swirls with tropical goodness from real pineapple and coconut and sips smoothly from creamy lactose and vanilla. Each mouthful is remarkably complex — almost like a honey wine version of a Mai Tai!

Not bad, but not as good as I had hoped. The honey and vanilla don't really blend well with the pineapple and coconut, so it almost tastes like two unrelated drinks poured together.

Another really interesting and tasty mead. I’m a big tiki fan and this delivers. Definitely sweet as expected, but that’s on brand for a tiki drink. I loved this.

Very sweet too sweet for me. It smells like pineapple and coconuts. Overall was way to sweet for me and It reminded me of a sweet sour. I honestly could not finish it but hey it was worth the try. Love the design of it.

Absolutely terrible. I homebrew better mead than this and I'm a beginner. This was a waste of money. Glad I only bought one. This was truely one of the worst "session meads" I have ever tried.

Why would you order this if you don’t like sweet things? Unnecessary hate. If you’re a mead drinker, this is a fantastic fruited mead.

Wow! Great & rich flavors; the lactose added a nice body to what normally would be a beverage whose body would be incongruent with its intensity. The only downside is that it is almost oppressively sweet. If the sweet was toned down, she’d be a 5/5 for sure!

I thought this mead really had potential. I believe the can I received was either left in the heat or something changed during its shipment that messed with the flavor. I liked the pineapple but felt the coconut and lactose conflicted giving off an almost rancid flavor. I don’t blame the meadery for this! I have experienced ruined flavor due to heat before and think that’s what caused this. I would order again to test my theory.

Blaaah this is terrible. The flavors are all there but they totally do not work together. It is far too sweet with the honey, vanilla, and pineapple juice. Needs a hint of lime or something to cut the sweetness. I wish I didn't have another can of this in the fridge.

If they get rid of the overly sweet coconut then it might work. Just way too many candied flavors for me. I would best describe it as too many chefs in the kitchen. Needs a flavor taken away or the sweetness to be mellowed down a lot
