About This Brewery
Pliny the Elder might have a famous beer named after him, but that’s not what he was sipping when he wrote his revolutionary ‘Naturalis Historia.’
Dude was slammin’ down flagons of Mead!
In fact, people began brewing Mead at least 9,000 years ago, which makes it the oldest known fermented beverage. Chinese emperors, African kings, and Roman generals all got buzzed on Mead.
And they probably got some quality brew. But, there’s no way it was as good as today’s Marion from Arizona’s Superstition Meadery!
Take a sip of their Peanut Butter Jelly Crime Mead, Straw Berry White Mead, or Marion Mead, and you’ll wonder why the style ever fell out of popularity.
And you’ll certainly be stoked that it’s back, thanks to breweries like Superstition who are at the forefront of the American Mead renaissance!
