A Note on This Beer
Here’s the thing about today’s Unsinkable Tartanic Sour: of all the beers we’ve offered, it’s one of the hardest to get your hands on.
That’s because the GABF award-winning brewers at Barebottle never make enough to satisfy the hordes of thirsty San Francisco locals that flood their taproom every time this brew comes off the canning line. And the tiny 275 cases that do exist? They’re sold out before the tart tropical sipper is even finished brewing!
Which means you’re about to join an exclusive group of lucky Tavour members who actually get to taste this limited-release, small-batch Sour.
Our members went absolutely bonkers the last time we offered Tartanic’s passionfruit-drenched profile — so bonkers, they scored it an impressive 4.17 and demanded we bring it back.
Well, your demand is our command, and this time we’ve secured a slightly-bigger stash. But snag these cans fast, because once they’re gone, you’re gonna have to scour craft beer forums for anyone willing to trade in order to get your hands on it.
Tartanic’s ruby-colored pour is the first clue to the layers of rich juiciness that await. Aromas of sweet rhubarb and tart berries give way to waves of mouth-puckering passionfruit on the palate. Black currants lend hints of bright raspberry and earthy floral notes while the addition of whole vanilla beans impart a sweet, cream-like smoothness on the finish. It sips like a berries and cream smoothie, but with a 6.6% ABV only suitable for grown-ups.
Unless you’re already booking a flight to San Francisco, Tavour’s the only place to snag this Sour sipper. And if your mouth isn’t already watering, it will when you realize you’re gonna be the only one of your friends to taste this small-batch passionfruit and vanilla Sour.
