About This Beer
The River North crew describes it as “the definition of what a Barleywine should be.”
They crafted it on a base of caramel and crystal malts and aged it in Colorado single malt whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
Each satisfying, full-bodied sip gives the impression of a mouthful of brioche bread pudding studded with dried fruits and drizzled with boozy caramel sauce. Rustic baked-apple aromas waft over smooth, malty tones and a pleasant sweetness that lasts into the finish.

this 1 was just alright. classic barleywine flavors but the alcohol is a little strong and I didn’t get much complexity

Sweet caramel, toffee with candied raisin and bourbon overtones. It’s silky, smooth, with lasting chocolate caramel finish. Slight bitterness to balance.

Couldn't wait until 2042, but flavors have rounded out nicely after two years in the wine (er, beer) fridge. A decadent sipper that would pair nicely with a fine cigar.
