A Note on This Beer
Can you guess what I’m indulging in over here at Tavour right now?
I’m sipping on 1 of the less than 200 bottles of What Evil Lurks [Ghost 785] to make it past Adroit Theory’s bottle club members and out of Virginia.
Made with real Kona coffee, almonds, pecans, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and Bourbon maple, it’s ooey-gooey — and honestly, it puts grandma’s Bourbon pecan pie to shame!
I’m kinda nervous about bringing a bottle home this Thanksgiving. Once my cousins, aunts, and uncles get a taste, I know someone’s going to get a little too tipsy-honest from Evil Lurks’ 15% ABV. And they’re going to slip up and mention how much more nutty and bourbony this Imperial Stout is than grammy’s pie.
Then all hell will break loose!
There will be some raised voices. Some fighting words will fly. And a few feelings will likely get hurt.
So, to avoid any controversy beyond your typical family drama this Turkey Day, I advise that you keep this brew at home for just you and your better half to enjoy. Whatever you decide to do, never suggest that this or any dessert, beer or otherwise, can compete with grandma’s pie!
