A Note on This Beer
Congratulations! You’ve scored a golden ticket to try Block 15’s barrel-aged Witbier, Wonka’s Wit (2020) — and you didn’t have to unwrap thousands of chocolate bars to find it!
The award-winning brewers crafted this lush, sophisticated sipper with a blend of two-year-old, wild Witbiers. They added a fresh Witbier to the combo, and aged it all in oak casks for five months with coriander and orange peel.
Notes of bright oranges and spicy coriander bloom on the nose, followed by the taste of berries, peaches, and tangerines. Waves of bready malt swim throughout its ultra-smooth mouthfeel, like freshly baked French bread.
With its bright acidity, pleasant funkiness, and crisp finish, this brew pairs perfectly with warm summer evenings.
After tasting Wonka’s Wit, craft fan @Eric H. shouted, “Wow! First Block 15 beer and I'm impressed! So nicely balanced, wonderful mouthfeel.” And @Matthea B. quipped, “I would drink this all damn day!”
Once you cash that ticket in for a bottle, we’re guessing you will, too.
Craft Beer & Brewing named Block 15 the 2018 Small Brewery of the Year, and they’re one of Thrillist’s “10 Oregon Breweries that Will Blow Your Mind,” alongside powerhouses De Garde, The Ale Apothecary, and pFriem!
