Founded in 1784, Brouwerij Van Steenberge N.V crafts their beers “according to the traditional rules of the art of brewing with the technology of today.” Their most well known brew is Gulden Draak. This Dark Tripel is especially unique because the brewery uses wine yeast for the secondary fermentation which adds a vinous character to the traditional caramel and dark fruit Belgian flavors. Piraat Belgian Strong Pale Ale is widely recognized around the craft world for its pirate ship bottle art and spiced, bready, fruitcake-like flavors.
