A Note on This Beer
Epic Brewing strikes thrilling flavor into the palates of dark beer fans across the country. Now they’re taking their world-famous Big Bad Baptist into uncharted territory: Swapping barrel aging in favor of an unprecedented surge of pure coffee flavor.
Their 8% ABV Son of a Baptist Coffee Stout blends cocoa nibs with artisan-roasted Guatemalan beans to create nothing short of an intense, chocolate espresso-soaked masterpiece.
With this pitch black brew, Epic shows that not all coffee is created equal: Fresh-roasted Guatemala La Colina beans from Seattle’s Conduit Coffee deliver spicy cinnamon aromas and echoes of citrus peel atop a bevy of dark malts. Intoxicating and rich black cocoa notes get drenched in more chocolate from the coffee and nibs, balanced with a toasty tobacco bitterness at the finish.
Fulfilling the same intense promise as the Big Bad Baptist with more coffee focus, this dark beer beast takes you a tour through boozy heaven. With a mission to fulfill every coffee beer lover’s wishes, Epic gets up close and personal with the caffeinated bean in their Son of a Baptist.
