Epic is the first brewery to open in Utah since the state first restricted the operation of a local microbrewery with high alcohol content. It was founded by David Cole and Peter Erickson, whose mutual passion for beer was influenced by their frequent travels to microbreweries in California, where Epic originated. (They also have a spot in Denver, CO!) Fine ales and lagers — like their Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout, Tart n’ Juicy Sour IPA,Escape to Colorado IPA, and Los Locos Lager — have become their main focus.
